Here’s another way to make some money but you have to know something. It doesn’t matter what it is, as long as you know something about a particular area of interest and can provide some tips to people. The site to visit is DayTipper. Sign up for a free account then submit a tip on practically anything. The keyword here is ‘practical’ so cruise through the tips that are published and join the rank. They will pay you $1 for every tip they publish. It’s a relatively new site and some of the top submitters have a balance of about $72 which isn’t much but then you’re only going to have to write a tip that is 500 characters long. That’s easier than writing a blog. They have two ways to get paid, a PayPal account which is free or a check. If you choose a check, it will cost you $3 for processing fee. If it’s not enough to buy a beer, do the right thing and donate it to charity.
How much do you know?

Once upon a time, it was easy to step up to the domain registry and request for a registration of your company’s name. Now it’s different. If your company name is taken, you look at the WHOIS database and find out if someone legitimately holds it and perhaps, if you wanted it badly enough, you could approach this individual and ask to buy it off them. You may pay just the registration fee or you may end up paying handsomely, depending on who’s hands the name fell into and how badly you want it.The problem is, and has been for some time now, with the domain registration. There has never been any rules so anyone can step up and register what they want without verification that the name they are registering has any thing to do with the kind of business they engage. That’s why it was simple to register www.williamgates.com when you weren’t william gates himself. (Poor Bill had to pay a mint to get his domain name back). After hearing a couple of success stories like that, people started registering all sorts of names, hoping to cash in one day. If you happen to stumble upon a website that didn’t sell anything and only contains links then I’m pretty sure the domain is for sale. These domains are parked for free and are waiting for someone to come along and make an offer. Now, turning the clock ahead to today. If you were a company starting up on the internet, it would be very difficult for you to come up with a domain name that is not already taken. You may say that you have better things to do than to dream up of a name then see if it’s taken. I can tell you that I’ve tried that and it took me a heck of a time figuring out something that works.Introducing www.PickyDomains.com, a new website that company owners can approach and register with to request for creative domain names. On the other side of things, anyone can register to be a contributor of domain names. After registering, you can list out all the available orders. These are companies who are requesting for a domain name. Some of them are picky, wanting the name to contain less than 3 words. Some prefer an extension of .com. Others want the name to be less than 3 syllables. Ok, you get the picture. As a contributor, you come up with names that have not been registered. When you submit a suggestion, PickyDomains will actually check the interNic database to see if it is available. If so then it accepts it. After a few days, your suggestions are published and presented to the companies for review. They respond by either specifying that they like it, dislike it or pick it. If they pick your suggestion, you will get paid $25. That’s not bad for coming up with a name.If you’re interested in making some money but you have to rack your brain on this one, go to www.PickyDomains.com and sign up.
I meant $5,000

No wonder no one listened to me when I said to go to upay2much.com and play the Secret Sound contest for $2,000. I meant to say it was $5,000 you are playing with. It’s easy, not that I won anything yet. You click on the banner, listen to it then guess what it is. I can’t believe this lady from Australia recognized the last sound to be someone taking an ice cube out of the ice maker in the fridge. This sound is something I’ve heard before but I can’t put my finger on it. It sounds like something I’ve done recently, but I can’t remember what I did to have heard that. Anyhoo, just go there and figure it out for a chance to win $5,000. Tell your friends about it too and if they win, at least they’ll share it with (or not). It doesn’t cost anything to try, just register with them so that they know where to send the money. No risk, the way I see it.Ok, I have to go now. Back to listening the sound.
